Heres THE essential mod list I use to improve Bannerlord 1.7.0 Please comment any I missed.
Mod Order & explanation
-Realistic Battle *AI Module only for eagle rising compatibility
-CA_EagleRising *Roman era
-Diplomacy *prevents horrible AI diplomacy choices
-Dismemberment (plus) *if you tried this a long time ago and thought it was ugly n crap looking, give the updated version a try it looks great now
-AutoResolveRebalanced *improves it in every way imagine-able *tired of 200 heavy knights suffering losses to 10 peasants in an auto resolve? This fixes the rng and gives each unit an hp stat in calculations
-Houses of Calradia *number of settings that make sure clans try to not go extinct and marry and have children to preserve clan, default mod settings prefers clans to marry within same culture
-True controller *for true town gold)
-True Town Gold *helps prevent snowballing *may lag campaign map *you and AI dont have to bounce around allover map trying to sell stuff since the towns have more gold to buy your loot, this is nice if you are following an army in the serve as a soldier mod
-True Relations *more personality to AI and effect of becoming known for what you do *notables will like you more for hunting bandits near them etc
-True Noble Opinion *nobles keep opinion of you after they change factions *nobles in clan all have separate opinion of you
-Xorberax’s Shoulder Cam *shoulder cam, if you don’t like spears/mounted camera a comment on nexus shows the 4 values you can edit very easily
-RTS Camera (1.7.0 ver found in realistic battle file list) *lets you go birds eye view and command army, and at player death allows you to control friendly AI soldier
-Kaoses Tweaks *lots of really good stuff here *I just use it for choosing what weapons can cut through multiple enemies, I don’t tweak other mod settings
-BloodMod *best blood imo especially for roman lorica segmentata armor
-Sorted Income *better detail your of income/expenses
-Raise your Banner *some troops in all formations will have your banner flag carried via long poleflag on back
-Raise your Torch *some troops in all formations will hold torches at night
-MoreIncome *Increases income from towns/villages *helps negate AI snowballing others
-EnhancedBattleTest *So i can use Eagle Rising troops in custom battle mode
-VolunteersUpTier *I don’t use this anymore but it can help negate easy campaign snowball effect by increasing the tier quality of troops player and AI can recruit from towns/villages
-Lords Retinue Uptier *Helps negate easy campaign snowball effect for player or any faction *Gives AI a chance to survive after defeat/release/escape by giving them a decent force and not get killed by bandits
-Cheats *Not recommended but not bad for veterans to experiment with for fun
-Character Manager *Export character file to edit character level to 1 to reduce bandit sizes to prevent them from eventually infesting Calradia and killing escaped/released lords and quickly turning map into a ghost town
-Detailed Character Creation *Change names n shapes at any time for immersion
-twostepsfromhell soundtrack is also an upgraded epic battle music mod that still works
-(IMPORTANT)-I recommend you search these mods on bannerlords nexus mods search bar, 1 or 2 mods are old/discontinued so search name and easily find the *fixed version made by another modder, 1 or 2 mods aren’t for 1.7.0 so dl the most recent one and it will work perfect. I manually installed all.
-Additions from comments are below which I would try and test soon myself
-My Little Warband *untested *allows you to create your own type of troops for kingdom you make. *BetterExceptionWindow mod required but I do not know the proper mod order after harmony, butterlib, uiextender etc it doesnt say exactly on page
-Distinguished Service mod *Allows you to create companions from soldiers that do well in battles *untested with Eagle Rising ^ thanks for these @muscarinenya *commented on my other post on the bannerlord subreddit
