Hey folks! Question about War Sails.

I’m still a new player at Mount & Blade. My friend has the PS+ catalogue so I gave Warband a shot and liked it, I’ll be sure to play it on PC! I’m interested in buying War Sails. Other Lords Stealing my Governor Companions

Every time I come back to my cities my governors have disappeared and are no longer a part of my clan. I wasn't sure what was happening, so I just kept looking for new, even better governors. I found one, put her in power, and watched another lord come to my city for some fresh recruits. Not only did he take recruits, he also recruited my governess, who WAS apart of my clan and is no longer. Is this supposed to happen? I keep spending thousands on new governors just for them to disappear after 2-10 minutes.
