What is fast mode?

Why is Attacker/Defender decided by the shitty AI decisions?

I chase a lord all the way across the map while he runs for his life, and he finally gets another lord to jump me, and all of a sudden I’m the defender? No. I never changed my mind. I’m still pushing your shit in.

Sorry. Rant over. Minimal impact on gameplay just needed to vent.
