Faction starts a war, makes armies, then sends the armies "to a point" or "to a town" across the map while the enemy attacks their undefended towns and castles. Seiges castles, then leaves them completely undefended. 800 man npc army sees a player army sieging a castle with 400 men, and walks right by them as an enemy force of 1000 men approaches. Then they go sit in a town doing nothing while the enemy army pursues and destroys you while you're disorganized and slow after leaving the seige.
The AI behaviour of armies has to change. Large scale combat is kind of an end game goal in this game, yet it remains the most frustrating hurdle it currently faces. I enjoyed the game for the first 100 hours, but it seems each time I get to this point, I just want to play something else.
Getting tired of singlehandedly fighting the wars that they start. Even with the improved garrison mod that let's me recruit and train automatically. If I still had to manually go from town to town recruiting five guys at a time, I'd probably have broken my keyboard by now because of some of the dumb shit that's happened as a result of the AI
