Why am I losing relation for helping villagers?

I just started and played for about 5 hours, every time I do something good for villagers I lose relation. For example I just helped a village fight off deserters and we won, I preceded to to not take the gold and told them to keep it, and I went from 10 to 8 relation. I’m on ps5 and idk if it’s a text bug but has no affect or am I losing relation.

Dickplomacy Reloaded!

Hello everyone! :D I just made a mod, it's called Dickplomacy Reloaded. Basically it adds the functionality that you would find in normal mods, such as Dynamic Troop Trees, Custom Troop Trees, Freelancer, Tournament Play Enhancements, Single Screen Character Creation, and Rubiks World Map into Dickplomacy. ^-^ It also doesn't require WSE, but you still need the older (exe) version of Warband that comes with Dickplomacy. (Though I haven't tested it with the newest version of Warband so it might work.) Also, if you do decide to download it, please ignore (DO NOT USE) the "content options" folder, it is legacy, and the mod is compiled from source with all features.
