I hate Horse Archers

Why did I decide to sign up with the northern empire as a Merc whilst they were fighting the Khuzaits? I've never fought them before and the one time I don't go with a decent horse rider because I want to fight on foot, this happens. What to do with emparors?

I just took Caladog as prisoner and since they can escape, I gifted him to Monchug and he was like "Meh" I get he is an emparor too but fym I gift you enemy emparor, should I execute them? Becuase they dont make much money too
