Shocking news has spread across Calradia like wildfire...
/u/Lord_Kastor is dead! The final slight being the recent renaming of lords within the kingdom to "Sasquatch", peasants have stormed the capital and brutally murdered him in his own home.
As Kastor had left no heir, his most senior military generals had come to the conclusion that /u/Netherrocker will serve as commander of the army, thus handing him the kingdom in all but name. "Regent" Nether has vowed that he will not relinquish power until all enemies of the state are destroyed, and peace restored.
This has ignited the powder keg known as Rhodokia, as Kastor's reign of terror was the only thing keeping the realm stable. Crime runs rampant, rationing comes into strict effect, and many lords begin forming their own decentralized warbands; A stark contrast to the large standing army the late Kastor had put in place.
/u/KingHarlausOfficial has capitalized on the chaos, and already has an incredibly ambitious invasion plan in effect. Should his attack succeed, He will seize Maras and Yalen from the bickering lords.
Unfortunately for the disorganized Rhodok nation, their troubles do not end there. A old Rhodok lord, exiled to Nordlands following the events of the Rhodok election, has returned with sellswords and other oddities at his back. /u/Real_Lord_Cakus has aligned himself with the Swadian military, and intends to depose Nether and restore the republic so many died fighting for. His return has caused further dissent among Rhodok ranks, as some begin to declare their support for him.
/u/Netherrocker and the loyalist forces clearly have their work cut out for them, but their dedication to their country is only exceeded by their fervent love of their late king. They will fight to their last breath to defend the empire from those who would dare challenge the old bear.
In Meta Terms
Welcome to the 21st Calradic Campaign! This event will see the Rhodoks desperately fending off a disciplined Swadian military, alongside a power struggle for the Rhodok throne. If the Swadians can overrun the Rhodok garrisons, they will move to strike at Maras Castle and Yalen. Should the Rhodoks pull off the unthinkable, they will march on Haringoth and Suno to punish the treacherous Harlaus. Should either side win the siege, their claimant will assume control of the Rhodoks.
In the event of a tie, this event will feature a never before used gamemode, Protect the King. Following the siege, the game will return to battle, where each team has a surprisingly simple objective: Kill the enemy king before they do the same to yours. In this case, the two kings will be those vying for control of the Rhodoks: /u/netherrocker and /u/Real_Lord_Cakus. The outcome of this map will determine who takes/maintains the throne.
/u/Netherrocker will be leading the Rhodoks and /u/Kingharlausofficial will be leading the Swadians. If one of them cannot attend, a marshal will be appointed.
To join the event, just join the server! There are no sign-ups required, and while it is recommended to join voice chat for bants and vague tactics, it isn't required.

Becoming Involved in the Calradic Campaign
The Calradic Campaign team is always looking for new additions, whether it be scene makers, technical wizards, writers, or anything else of use. If you'd like to contribute your area of expertise, be sure to join our Discord to connect with the members of our team. Many of us earned our positions by bringing something new to the Campaign. We hope you'll join us in continuing one of the top community events in Warband!
Donating to the Calradic Campaign
The Calradic Campaign server is our own, and we run it ourselves on a donation basis as we have for over a year. We now have a Patreon that you can put in a monthy or one time amount to contribute. There are multiple reward tiers with more coming, and with a larger pool of money we can expand our community events (like Mod Night!) as well as preparing for the expected high server costs of Bannerlord (should it ever come out).
