King Harlaus: a tale of war, betrayal and utter stupidity.

Having not played Warband for a while, I decided to return to the floris mod.

I started in Swadia and joined King Harlaus as a freelancer. (My first big mistake)

I was the best soldier by far and earned a fair bit of money so had reason to stay, but the king was so incredibly incompetent. The first two battles we lost to the rhodoks, he was imprisoned so I had to singlehandedly rescue him both times.

It was the third battle where things got so much worse. I thought to myself 'If the old bastard lost again, I would quit'. We were 300 against 60 though so i had high hopes.  We did lose. Badly. The king was killed and because I couldn't return to him, I was labelled a deserter and universally hated throughout the land.

TLDR: Joined Harlaus' army, he lost a stupidly easy battle, died, made me a deserter, am now hated by all.

PS: this did actually happen but the post is meant to be lighthearted and not a rant or complaint

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
