Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. Viking Conquest DLC worth it?

Been playing vanilla and modded Warband for a while and have heard both good and bad things about Viking Conquest from this sub and steam reviews. Specifically that it’s just a glorified mod and really doesn’t offer much more than vanilla Warband does.

Any thoughts on what the DLC has to offer before I put down the dosh to but it?
