Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. Help my game keeps crashing when I enter a battle.

So all was fine just this morning until this game crashes in the middle of me going to a point. Now after this every time i enter a battle, the game crashes like always. It wont crash on cities and town but just battles.

I have checked all my mods and none of them are accountable.

Are some of the files corrupted, if so do i need to reinstall or just a replacement?

I thought this version was suppose to be the most stable
