STUCK AT BEGINING OF WARSAILS

I escorted the merchants and fought off two ships in a sea battle . I'm on the Scourge of the Seas quest. It tells me to talk to Gunnar via a golden exclamation point. I go to talk to him and he says thst he is waiting on new." What do I do now? It seems as though there are no obvious prompts and the quest still exists. I need help specifically with advancing this quest...I can't believe I am stuck this early in the game. If anyone has any advice, I'm really desperate. Bannerlord crash

Application error: The application faced a problem. We need to collect necessary files to fix this problem. Would you like to upload these files now?

This is the third time I get this stupid error. I want to siege a castle but nope, my game crashes and gives me this error. I'll try and fix this by verifying the integrity of the game files, but I'm 90% sure that it won't work, so if you know how to fix this please let me know in the comments.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
