In the previous versions of the game I remember that setting horse archers to "charge" would make them circle the enemy while showering them with arrows, and "engage" will make them retreat from enemy's melee range while shooting as they retreat. In this version it doesn't seem to be working that way? I've sent them to charge and about half of them went melee and the other half was randomly walking around, shooting at the shieldwall's shields. What commands should I be using for Horse Archers? Am I imagining things, or are allied lords dying much more often in battle since the most recent patches to the game? It’s purely anecdotal but it feels like the last 5 or so hours of playtime in my campaign has seen more allied lords dying in battle alongside me than the previous 60 hours.
