What should I do here?

I’m a vasal with the Khuzaits and I feel like the AI is not doing me any favors. We were at war with Sturgia and the Aserai at the same time which was a nightmare because everyone was running north and south. Not at war with Sturgia anymore but as soon as we made peace with them Monchug went and declared war with the western empire. I have 15 fiefs and they all border the western empire. So while every place I own is getting attacked Monchug and all the other assholes have been fighting over Shibal Zumr Castle. One side takes it and back and forth so most of the army is over there. And I’m in the same situation over at Onica castle. I own it but they take it and then I take it back. No one is getting anywhere. I want to go on the offensive and take Zeonica but I just don’t have enough people and I don’t think I can get anymore. Any tips for this stalemate? And where do all their troops keep coming from? They keep coming with 1100 troop armies and I keep destroying them, shouldn’t the...

The Tale of the Jomsviking

The Jomsviking clan was formed out of humble obscurity by two Sturgian brothers, Harald and Nohzon, following the death of their parents by slavers. Beginning as swords for hire and winning renown by hunting bandits, Harald and Nohzon slowly accumulated wealth and fighting men during their quest to find their missing siblings. Harald would swear his sword in service to Raganvad, first as a mercenary then as a vassal. Eventually, they would claim Vladiv Castle Amprela as their first homes, bringing greater affluence to the Jomsviking as they beat back waves of the Khuzait hordes. Unfortunately, these settlements were overcome at last after two years and they were driven west.

In the midst of these trials, the two brothers found love. First Nohzon married Eilidh, then Harald wed Svana. War was constant for the Jomsviking as they fought and bled for Sturgia, but their quest wasn't merely for fortune. They fought for a new home, and the solution came in the conquest of Battania. The woodsmen fought valiantly, but their cities fell one by one to the men of the north. Due to Harald's cunning and Eilidih's relations with the Battanian clans, Seonon, Dunglanys and Marunath all fell into the fold of the Jomsviking. Now with deeper coffers from their new territory and caravans, Harald would begin to recruit among the Battanians to join Sturgia's ranks. The offer was even extended to displaced clans of the Empire, for Harald was now turning his attention to the Empire in the hope that Sturgia would soon cover all the lands in their dominion.

As he grew with age, many battles and wars would be fought to claim Imperial territory for Sturgia. The fractured Empire was easily conquered, though the challenge remained in dealing with Vlandia or the Khuzaits trying to take advantage of the chaos. The Jomsviking were often involved in decisive battles that tipped the scales in their favor, and a majority of Imperial territory fell to the men of the north. After the Empire fell, many vassals would swear fealty to Monchug and the Khuzaits would unleash a brutal campaign against their Sturgian rivals with their growing numbers. Some cities were lost, but Harald would halt the invasion at Diathama by capturing Monchug and fighting a lengthy campaign before a truce was called. During the peacetime, the Jomsviking would invest heavily in recruiting many Empire clans away from the Khuzaits to even the odds for the next Great War.

And so when the war came, Harald would lead the charge to take back Sturgia's territory in the north and south, even advancing deep into enemy territory and taking great cities like Myzea, Onira and reclaiming Tyal. The war continues, with great losses on both sides, but the Jomsviking are personally invested to subjugate the Khuzait menace once and for all...

(Wanted to try my writing hand with my current campaign. It's had a lot of ups and downs, but I'm enjoying the end game of taking out chief rivals. Monchug hates my guts for how many times I've stopped him, and I live for it! 😆 Maybe I'll write another story if I get this deep in a campaign again.)

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . For a deep read on the subject see the wiki https://pop3.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creation Or for a quick "Just...

TaleWorlds Forums

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
