Just came back to bannerlord 1.3 something after two years

And I love every improvement or changement so far. Well I am 1 hour into a new campaign but I liked th new stealth system and just looking at the encyclopedia relations seems a bit more complex. Loved also the new small things such as troops shouting down your orders. So far soon cool BUT There is one thing which really suck for me and that is the new light system. I really can't see shit in battles, unless with a sun shining at midday. Other than that impossible to fight in the shadows at dawn or even afternoon. And I can't tell if the ai is better or I simply suck. Please tell me there is a fix to this because battles are just becoming a frustrating nightmare... submitted by /u/Plopita [link] [comments]

What to do after capturing a few cities as an independent warlord?

Hey all, looking for some advice on my current Bannerlord game, as someone very new. Right now, I think I'm in a pretty good position. As someone new, I decided to take it slow and go through the standard mercenary to lord pipeline for the Western Empire, since their Emperor seemed cool. I married his daughter, and captured Syronea for him when rebels rose up, which led to him rewarding me with the settlement despite nuking my influence. However, I slowly started to realize after multiple losses to the Khuzaits, Northern Empire, and Vlandians, that I might be backing the wrong horse, and so I decided to secede from the Empire. After killing some of their smaller armies, plus capturing the Emperor after he lost a siege on the Northern Empire, I managed to peace out for about half my money, 75k-ish ducats. A while after this, looking for a way to boost my coffers after the garrison costs of Syronea were starting to get to me, I decided to declare war on the weak looking Aserai to try and capture Husn Fulq. I succeeded, plus managed to snipe Ortysia from them when it rebelled against them before signing a peace deal. This leaves me with three (mostly) disconnected cities under my command. My question is, where do I go from here? I have the Dragon Banner, but I feel like if I declared a Kingdom, I'd just get ganged up on and stomped. I could try to get some nobles to join me, but the only nobles who like me are like, two Western Empire nobles (plus some random Vlandian noble??) who want an insane amount of compensation to join me. What should I do from here? Rejoin a new faction and try to build up wealth before rebelling? Stay independent and wait for new cities to rebel? Make my own Kingdom and just full send it? Any help appreciated!

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
