I have a few ideas about mods that I'd love to see come to Bannerlord that would likely make use of all of it's systems and more open moddability. I'd like to list off all these ideas and get community input on whether they'd like to see them done, whether they'll be possible, or anything else you'd like to say about them!
A Western Mod
Notable features would be the expansion of towns via upgrades as we've seen in some of the Warband campaign demos, which would allow access to such things as a saloon, a small fort for the US Army, etc. Some features on the side could be customizable revolvers, repeaters, shotguns, and rifles, if possible, various modifications that change the amount of bullets the guns can hold, the type of stock the weapon uses (ivory, various different woods), the type of metal the gun uses, etc.
Factions would likely include the Native Americans, the US Army, the Lawmen, the Vigilantes, the Mexican Army and the Outlaws (which would be scattered around the map in places that are conveniently close to towns, roads, etc.)
I'm not sure how they're going to do lords and nobles in Bannerlord, but if they allow a system where you can permanently kill a lord (which was all but impossible in Warband), it would be entertaining to see various different Western legends and fictitious characters in the Outlaws faction that you could kill and get rewarded for, such as Billy the Kid, Django, Texas Red (the bandit featured in Big Iron by Marty Robbins), etc. and then redeem parts of their guns as trophies. For example, Texas Red's gun stock would have 20 notches on it which, as is explained in Big Iron, is the amount of men who he'd dueled with and won.
The Lawmen and Vigilante faction could also be implemented in a similar fashion, with lawmen such as Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday, and vigilantes such as Clint Eastwood and Cullen Bohannon (from an AMC television show called "Hell on Wheels")
The setting could be the entirety of America, stopping at the southern border of Canada, and then the top bit of Mexico (or as much as the map can fit) where Outlaws were known to lay low whilst the US Government was looking for them.
All those are just suggestions, with the main premise of the mod being "The Wild Wild West."
Flying Mounts
I don't know how this could be possible, but considering that they've expanded their game's moddability there might be some way to make a mount fly or appear to fly, possibly something like using Catapult projectile physics that are technically mounts that register as being constantly propelled as long as you click/hold space? Just an idea, but the expanded access to what modders can change likely means that more will be possible than was in Warband, and when you look back at Warband, modders did a damn fine job of doing things that weren't included in the base game (such as the Red War's automatic guns, various mod's multi-bulleted guns, separate races that are technically registered as genders in the system (with separate stories mind you), etc, y'get the picture). This likely means that Bannerlord has even more modding potential than Warband, and while we should expect it to take some time, we at least know and should be content with "It's possible to do more."
Special Abilities
Another thing that was able to be done in Warband, and likely with much difficulty, was Phantasy's magic system, where if one had an empty slot or a staff in one slot, one could fill that slot with a magical spell and throw things such as fireballs, lightning bolts, charm bolts, etc at the enemy. Considering how that was possible in Warband, we may be able to expect certain things of a similar nature in Bannerlord.
Alright, those were my ideas, any thoughts?
