Does anyone else get bored of the game really quickly?

I'm about 90 days into a Nova Aetas campaign and honestly I'm starting to get bored. It's weird: one minute I'm loving the game and playing all night long, and the next I'm bored for no reason. It's pretty frustrating because I always get bored, put the game down, and the pick it up later only to just start a new game or play a new mod. I've never even made it to what most would consider to be the 'late game' because of this weird cycle - the game is fun in bursts though.

Anyone else?
