I'm playing with some mods that heavily restrict recruitment, so my army is almost entirely bandits and mercenaries. On land, Monchug's army would destroy mine, but this isn't a land battle and he gifted me several amazing prizes. If you don't know what I mean, I'll give you an example.
One of my favorites are Veteran's Respect perk (Leadership) and Two Faced (Roguery)
With Veteran's Respect, you can upgrade bandits you recruit into regular troops. With Two Faced, you don't suffer morale loss when you take bandit prisoners into your party.
So this basically means you can just snag some sea raider or forest bandit prisoners; and get some Sturgian and Battanian troops out of the deal after some upgrading. Forest bandits convert into Battanian Fians, and the sea raiders (the chiefs, specifically) can convert into Sturgian Druzhinnik.
The only downside to this is the veteran's respect perk is pretty far up the leadership skill tree (150, I believe.) So, it would take a little more time to get there.
