Is there a mod that changes the formation system to the one from Warband?

In Warband you would allocate troops to formations on your party screen. You could put individual troops in formation 1,2, 3 etc. In bannerlord it feels cumbersome having to do it in the battle deployment screen using the sliders. Should I become a vassal yet?

I have around 130 troops and 190k denars, wondering if I should take the next step and become a vassal or not? I heard somewhere that you should have at least 1mil to be safe and to make peace with anyone wanting to attack you, but I'm not sure if that was only if you want to make your own kingdom or not. Also, I kinda like being a merc and just making money off of caravans, it was fun. I don't know if that goes away or not. I don't really know what to expect, I've never became a vassal before. Clan Party Disbanded

Long story short I made Nathanos a party leader of his own army. All was well for a while so I stopped checking in on him. Im looking at my clan page and it says the only party in my clan is my own, and Nathanos is hanging out in my capital. Do clan parties get disbanded when they lose? I can only assume he got involved in a battle and was defeated. Do I have to make a new party every time he gets defeated? Update news?

I don’t check this subreddit often. Does anyone have any Information pertaining to the console release of the next update? During My current playthrough that I have quite a bit of time invested in, I recently backed myself into a hole after starting my own kingdom, and could greatly use the cheats to help me out. Been paying tons of money to keep peace with kingdoms, (current kingdom occupies all of battania, minus dunglanys, and a Rhotea and Lageta, took them all from rebels) and can’t seem to even break even with these warmongers lol. Long story made short, I am going to wait to continue this playthrough until The update is released so I can give myself breathing room. The Crashes Are Crazy

Hi all, I hope we're all having a good week. I bought this game in Steam at launch because I love this franchise so much, and the crashes I still experience during game play are game-breaking. It's definitely better than what they were at launch, but it's about a coin flip that the game crashes when I enter an open-field battle or when I engage a siege on either side. I'm now in a campaign where certain engagements cause a game crash and it's effecting my game; there are two castles I can't besiege because fighting them causes a crash. Is this common? How spread troops out on xbox

While assisting a separate army once they are in battle, I cannot adjust my lines. There's no pre-battle section where I can move around my troops. Whatever formation they spawn as is what they stay. Does anybody else feel like most players have a very short perspective?

I see these types of posts all the time. They go into all these specific details of small instances and get angry when they’re not given a castle or a peace treaty isn’t favorable. “I gathered 100 troops from x y and z town to fight lord x on the battlefield. I won and then I gave him as a prisoner to my faction for relationship improvement and some lords still don’t love me! Then I got 10 more troops to take over a castle and it was given to someone else! Then they wanted a costly peace treaty even though our armies are bigger! I’m so mad!” Meanwhile I’ve had 100 battles, caught as many lords, had part in 20 sieges, seen 10 treaties and get offered so many towns that I don’t want or know what to do with. Mod to make lords create more armies?

Is there any mod that does this? A quick google search yielded no results. Vassals don’t want to join anymore

Mercenary Campaign

I want to make a campaign with the intent to only be a mercenary and go mass executioner. My question is if merc for a faction and excute every lord I capture will I ever be able to get hired by another faction or risk being let go by current faction and never get hired again? I know you get massive relationship hits for execution but does it matter if I'm never going to make a kingdom or recruit vassals? On foot or on horse?

It seems like almost every video I see they ride a horse and stay on their horse the entire battle. I've developed a style where I join my infantry in the trenches once the calvary Vs. calvary has settled down. I know it's easier to see the battlefield from a horse but I take so many arrow shots on a horse that I started 'hiding' behind my infantry shield wall and then wrecking havoc once the melee ensued. I do run on 1/4 damage to the main hero, if that's cheating so be it, it helps me survive deep into most battles and survive some. I just find it much more satisfying to rampage around with a mastercrafted axe and heavy armor plus 300+ athletics to maneuver around the dangerous foes. So where do I go from here?

I started out as a mercenary, did pretty well and then did tournaments during peace time. Got some good money, married Caladogs daughter, and they just gave me control of my first city/fief after it rebelled. We (Battannia) are now at war with the sturgians and I’m following around the 2000 man army. This is all in my first playthrough (sandbox) so I have no idea what I’m doing. What do I do now that I have my own city and capturing towns/castles? I have around 100 soldiers. I have seen things saying smithing is op, but I have no idea how to do that. How do you even win against the conspiracy?

I don't know if there's something that i don't know about the whole conspiracy thing but i'm at that point where you have three kingdoms against you and holy shit, this feels like pushing a boulder against a mountain. ​ It's not even that i can't defend my original fiefs, i absolutely can and i have a lot of clans with me so we haven't really lost too much. The part that i fail to comprehend is how i'm supposed to win this? My mindset was "Well, i'll just focus one of the three and stomp every fief until they no longer exist". The thing is, after taking at least one or two i can't go any further bc they just take all the fiefs back with shitty 100 man parties, and it just isn't a fun experience to run around the fiefs as if babysitting them to not get stomped. It's not even that i care about the fiefs per se, i just want to delete one kingdom from existence but even that seems like a whole impossible task. submitted by

game keeps crashing please help!

decided to try out some mods, this is my mod list and load order, I cant play the game please help. I have 1 other mod, improved garrisons that I installed via steam workshop. could that be the problem? From what I can tell, shoulder cam. Fast dialogue. Just got into the game and absolutely love it!

This week I got the game and started learning a lot on the go. I’ve played a bit of the campaign but I saw videos about the realm of thrones mod and wanted to try it it ASAP. When I started playing the mod I found that I actually missed serving a lord so I installed serve as a soldier and starting fighting in Tully’s army. The Riverlands for some reason are at constant war with the Lannisters but I’m all for it. Also became a Tully bannerman and Edmund granted me a castle which I instantly lost to Tywin sieging it with 700 men. Although I still have a lot to learn such as how I manage my own castle I’ve never had so much fun in a game as in this one. Just wanted to share my experience and looking for any tips to get better. Is Rhagaea an idiot?

I swear she goes to war with these massive nations but pays tribute to a nation with only 1 city and 2 castles with like 2k men while she has over 10k men and 8 cities. I'm a vassel for her and we're constantly at war with the western, Eastern, and aserai nations but the northern nation is near wiped out and there's a 0% chance of starting a war with them. Has the siege bug been fixed yet?

I saw a clip of Kingdom of Heaven and now went down a spiral for medieval urges to play something like that again. The West is shaken. The Basileus of the Western Empire, Garios, prepared for an eventual assault on the former Vlandian Castle of Usanc. His generals all convened in the castle a few nights before the field battle. A heated discussion had taken place; diplomacy with other nations had faltered after Vlandian diplomats had forced the Northern Imperial Republic to vote on their allegiance, with the North firmly standing on the side of Vlandia. Days before, a messenger gave grim news from Aserai lands; Despite previous agreements with the Western Empire, the Aserai have declared support for Vlandia, rekindling their old alliance against Garios. The cards seemed stacked against them, however the Grand General of the Legions had a bold plan. If they cannot be trusted, then his legions would pound them into submission, but first he would march on Vlandia and show the world it would not be wise to turn against the strong arm of the Empire. So, he and his generals put forth a bold strategy.

[Warband] Rescue or Ransom a Prisoner who's already out

I didn't do the quest immediately, so when I went to the prison the lord is not there. I then asked another lord about his location and turns out he's already out of the prison. I went to him but there's no any option to speak about the rescue. I went to his son (quest giver) about the task given and there's no mention of his father being already escaped. What do I do? Request castle be awarded to you vs your husband?

After a long journey to find the one and finally get married to him, did not waste my time. I started to flatten all the way whoever faction that is at war at my husband's faction Now what i didn't know earlier is that once you besieged a castle, you can award it to yourself, instead of your husband Now what should i request if my ultimate goal is to conquer the world under my husband as the king. What i understand is, Request castle to be awarded to me = i get income from rent Request castle to be awarded to my husband = I can keep my army for free (no need to pay them), which is important because i have hundreds of slaver chiefs rated total at about 4200 dinars, and i want to replace them with a slower, but more efficient army at siege. But in the same time, I don't want to lose my long term investment so i might want to use these high mobility army again in the future I can get unlimited army for free, which saves my time from going from village to village for

Question!!

Alright, I have decided to do a play through with the idea of breeding as many children as I can for caravan usage to make as much money as possible after my main character dies so my son can set up an independent kingdom, during the down time I have been executing every mf that the vlanchads are at war with so I’m currently in a mercenary contract for money sakes, my question is does relations with other clans effect my character or my clan as a whole? Meaning, when the time comes when my character dies and I pick one of my children to rule in my name, is the relations reset or do I adopt whatever relations that character has or am I going to be hated forever? Cantabrian Circle

Today I used the Cantabrian Circle to great effect as the Khuzaits. While playing BannerKings I decided to raid a Southern Imperial village to secure silk for my velvet workshop, triggering a war between my liege Monchug Khagan and Regina Rhagaea. After my raid I noticed Rhagaea patrolling her lands with a small retinue of 80 troops. My army of 170, which consisted entirely of lancers and horse archers, successfully pursued her and started a battle in a large valley surrounded by woods. The cowardly imperials hid their crossbowmen in the forest while stationing a shield wall of fairly low level legionnaries at the edge of the treeline. I could not flank the enemy, so all advantage should have gone to the imperials. I set my lancers to the side where I could command them to charge at the mounted Rhagaea and her entourage if they chose to attack my horse archers. I then commanded my horse archers to enter a column formation and had them follow me. To my surprise this actually worked

The Banner has been lost!

It finally happened. I am on my first playthrough of the campaign in this game. I have been struggleing hard in the beginning. Now i am getting stronger and stronger, owning 4/5 fiefs and bringing Sturgia to the glory it deserves. I once wanted to form my own Kingdom, but this sub held me off by saying its impossible and everyone will go to war with me and i need 7 Billion Denars otherwise its no use. So Khuzaits conquered Tyal, we took it back and Raganvad gave it to the Kostoroving clan and as soon as our army leaves the city it became a Khuzait town again and this clan was suddenly became a vassal of the Khuzaits. Factions don't disappear/ can't make peace?

I broke away from Battania right as they were crushing the Sturgians in a war. They made peace, but left Sturgia with 3 towns, 3 castles, and 9 loyal clans including Ragavand's. I have managed to defeat Sturgia 100% completely and totally. I took all of their towns, swayed all of their noble families except Ragavand, and defeated all of their mercenaries (which is all of the mercenaries, 8 clans of them). I swayed the last two loyal clans after taking the last settlement, so only Ragavand's remains. I have also captured or killed every enemy lord. All of the mercenaries are in my dungeons, as is all of Ragavand's clan except his daughter Valla who died in battle. I literally made a spreadsheet and checked it against the nobles in the encyclopedia, and they are all accounted for. They have 0 soldiers left, 0 settlements left, 0 clans left except for the ruler clan, and 0 heroes who can field new armies, and yet they still won't disband . Do they just... never disband

I HATE THE ASERAI

Oh my god I fucking hate the Aserai in my current play through. So I’m currently the leader of Vlandia after a long while of building up relationships with almost everyone in the kingdom. In game years past and I have brought the Vlandians who had been kicked to the curb in most of the wars they fought to a significant powerhouse who has almost completely wiped out the Northern Empire and Stugians. Now besides the almost constant wars with the empire which are driving me insane and the fact that my nobles are so fucking stupid, I had previously been at war with the Aserai (apparently, I didn’t know at the time) and recently they have just redeclared war. Now this might of been alright if not for the fact that not a single faction has even dented the Aserai numbers. With our numbers being tied in the 10000 this should of been an somewhat equal fight. Gekokujo daimyo edition skirmisher randomization script?

Apparently there is a script in the gekokujo daimyo edition mod for warband that randomizes the equipment your skirmishers are equipped with, guns vs bows. the faction determines percentage of guns vs bows rather than equipping all of your elite skirmishers with their favored weapon. Does anyone know where this script is and if I can delete it? I've scoured scripts.txt but couldn't find a likely candidate. How to stop your braindead troops from killing all of your people in a siege?

My last attacking siege there were 5 enemy left within the walls and my dipshit troops were stiil launching catapults into the walls. They literally killed more of my army than the enemy did.
