STUCK AT BEGINING OF WARSAILS

I escorted the merchants and fought off two ships in a sea battle . I'm on the Scourge of the Seas quest. It tells me to talk to Gunnar via a golden exclamation point. I go to talk to him and he says thst he is waiting on new." What do I do now? It seems as though there are no obvious prompts and the quest still exists. I need help specifically with advancing this quest...I can't believe I am stuck this early in the game. If anyone has any advice, I'm really desperate. For those wanting to build their kingdom slower without war.

In my current game im going on 3 years with nobody declaring war on me. I spent several years going from kingdom to kingdom as a mercenary. I would always let lords go so by the time i settled down and made my own kingdom i was friends with roughly 70% of all clans on the map. Nobody declares war on you if you're friends with everyone. I mean i only have 1 city surrounded by bigger fish yet they allow to swim unperturbed.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
