All I see on this sub is, "How do I kill my wife?", "How do I kill my King?". What happened to loyalty? What happened to romance? Maybe I'm just a simple man, but when I play this game there's a few things I do no matter what. I team up with CalaDawg and teach Dirthead the ancient Battanian technique of projectile induced dismounting. And I marry a nice Sturgian woman who I will love and protect until the day I die. Under absolutely NO circumstance do I use javelins for evil. God help any poor foolish AI who dares to capture my wife, because it won't be long before their head rolls. Before 1.2.7, most of my starting troops defending the walls in a siege were elite tier troops and could wreck most enemies stepping off the ladders.
After 1.2.7, the game has 100% militia as my starting lineup; those brave fools get utterly wiped out by the elite tier enemies climbing over the walls. By the time my own elite troops show up as reinforcements, the enemy army is swarming inside the settlement and it's game over.
I rarely ever messed around with the sliders before a siege battle, so help a veteran noob: how do I get my elite troops at the start of a siege?
I'm on PC.
