All I see on this sub is, "How do I kill my wife?", "How do I kill my King?". What happened to loyalty? What happened to romance? Maybe I'm just a simple man, but when I play this game there's a few things I do no matter what. I team up with CalaDawg and teach Dirthead the ancient Battanian technique of projectile induced dismounting. And I marry a nice Sturgian woman who I will love and protect until the day I die. Under absolutely NO circumstance do I use javelins for evil. God help any poor foolish AI who dares to capture my wife, because it won't be long before their head rolls. I honestly can't believe Taleworks overlooked this.
So I'm working for the Southern Empire right now, and they declared war on the Khuzaits. Of course, I got absolutely shitstomped because the Khuzaits have so many cavalry, it doesn't matter how strong your army is (not saying mine was particularly powerful at the time considering I'm only a mercenary, but still).
Anywho, I'm playing this save completely linearly. No save scumming. I'm sort of regretting that now because after being captured by the Khuzaits, they won't let me go. Yeah, I can pay the ransom to be let free, or escape by random happenstance, but I'm so far into their territory that I literally can't escape from them because of my low morale and their ridiculous speed.
How the hell am I supposed to get out of this?
