STUCK AT BEGINING OF WARSAILS

I escorted the merchants and fought off two ships in a sea battle . I'm on the Scourge of the Seas quest. It tells me to talk to Gunnar via a golden exclamation point. I go to talk to him and he says thst he is waiting on new." What do I do now? It seems as though there are no obvious prompts and the quest still exists. I need help specifically with advancing this quest...I can't believe I am stuck this early in the game. If anyone has any advice, I'm really desperate. Have they added the Iron Man-style, "Realistic" (one save file) mode that was available when starting a new game in Warband?

I was surprised to read on so.e old forums that this feature didn't carry over from Warband, at least initially.

I'm talking about the option presented when starting a new game that players can have multiple save files or one, continuous one, basically ensuring that choices, losses, etc. are permanent.

Have they since added this feature to Bannerlord when starting a new game?

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
