All I see on this sub is, "How do I kill my wife?", "How do I kill my King?". What happened to loyalty? What happened to romance? Maybe I'm just a simple man, but when I play this game there's a few things I do no matter what. I team up with CalaDawg and teach Dirthead the ancient Battanian technique of projectile induced dismounting. And I marry a nice Sturgian woman who I will love and protect until the day I die. Under absolutely NO circumstance do I use javelins for evil. God help any poor foolish AI who dares to capture my wife, because it won't be long before their head rolls. Referring to the chance of valuable items like Amber being randomly stolen from my inventory when traveling with a party over ~50.
I think it's a stupid mechanic and it detracts from my enjoyment of the game. It's already hard enough to keep a band of Viking Raiders funded, I don't need random theft from people I can't punish to add to the hassle.
Currently I deal with the problem by using the cheat menu to give myself the stolen item back, but I'd much prefer to just disable the mechanic entirely. Surely there is a setting somewhere in the files that controls it. Does anyone know where that setting is and how to change it to disable the mechanic? Thanks.
P.S. If you know how long it takes for a monastery to both recover from being pillaged and be worth pillaging again, that information would also be appreciated.
