Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. Can your children still spawn with crowns? (Xbox)

I did a quick google search and it still seems like the answer is yes but I want to make absolutely sure of it and if there is anything to up the odds on it happening? I have 3 kids coming of age soon and already conquered the map so it’s honestly the last thing on my list except some stealth stuff for fun.
