You people disgust me!

All I see on this sub is, "How do I kill my wife?", "How do I kill my King?". What happened to loyalty? What happened to romance? Maybe I'm just a simple man, but when I play this game there's a few things I do no matter what. I team up with CalaDawg and teach Dirthead the ancient Battanian technique of projectile induced dismounting. And I marry a nice Sturgian woman who I will love and protect until the day I die. Under absolutely NO circumstance do I use javelins for evil. God help any poor foolish AI who dares to capture my wife, because it won't be long before their head rolls. Call me old fashioned but I take the sacred vows of marriage seriously. submitted by /u/Friar_Corncob [link] [comments]

Suggestion for Imperial Troops

So it seems to me that the devs are looking make the Empire a formidable but not excessively good mixed bag of troops. A kind of jack of all trades and ace of none.

While that can be a good rationale, it also leaves room for suggestions and interpretations. So I got to thinking: what did Rome and its eastern zombie state (that ultimately fell to the same illness) do that few other civilisations did at the time?

Field artillery. My suggestion is ballistae (or catapultae for pedants) for the imperials only. I am unsure how it could be implemented effectively, perhaps tied to an "engineer" troop or purchasable kits (single use or perhaps a way to level engineering without sieges, I would set the price at around 10k/kit to reflect the knowledge and expertise require to manufacture it) to assemble in battle, requiring let's say, 60 seconds (scaling to engineering skill +/- 30 seconds) to assemble in battle and requiring the usual amount of troops manning it to be usable, including the ability for the player to kick them off it to use it personally, just like existing ballistae.

I am open to criticism, especially the constructive kind.

TaleWorlds Forums

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
