Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. Who do you think the khuzaits are running from in the east?

Since the game came out I've been extremely curious what this mystery group is in the east. I think this mystery faction is prime dlc content and am curious to what people think this faction might be.
