Does anyone ever use mercenary troops?

They seem extraordinarily expensive to recruit (compared to normal faction soldiers) and they don't seem to even be as good as most faction soldiers. The infantry line in particular is weak as shit. Questions Concerning Mount & Blade Warband

  • Did M&BW have a testing phase, like an alpha or beta period, during which you could obtain exclusive rewards, which are no longer available to players?
  • Does M&BW contain any items that are no longer available for new players?
  • Does M&BW have a healthy community/player base, and will it maintain it's strength after the release of Mount & Blade II Bannerlord?
  • Does M&BW still receive support from the developers?
  • Does M&BW have a large modding community?

Dickplomacy Reloaded!

Hello everyone! :D I just made a mod, it's called Dickplomacy Reloaded. Basically it adds the functionality that you would find in normal mods, such as Dynamic Troop Trees, Custom Troop Trees, Freelancer, Tournament Play Enhancements, Single Screen Character Creation, and Rubiks World Map into Dickplomacy. ^-^ It also doesn't require WSE, but you still need the older (exe) version of Warband that comes with Dickplomacy. (Though I haven't tested it with the newest version of Warband so it might work.) Also, if you do decide to download it, please ignore (DO NOT USE) the "content options" folder, it is legacy, and the mod is compiled from source with all features. How do I get into the major leagues?

How do I get out of being classified as a minor faction? I’m constantly at war, usually fighting two wars at once with my immediate neighbors, and I’m starting to suspect it’s because the game still considers me a minor faction. I’m nearly clan rank 6, with three vassals and basically a good chunk of the Sturgian lands, plus Epicoratoa, and now I’m starting to push into Battanian lands, so I have no idea how I’m still “minor”.
