Disappointed Diplomacy

Just got back into the game agter the war sails expansion. And I am disappointed at the shallow level of fiplomacy still in the game. So many aded features and yet they could not add a truce mechanic...or even a way to influence nobles to change policy. Furthermore the changes they made are banal and redundant.. Explain to me why my "ALLY" Just deckared war on me after i PAID them 500k money to attack another faction. Keep in mind this was with 72 days remaining on the alliance. What are the best DLCS or mods to get the most out of the battle portion of warband?

The base game battles get a little stale with only three maps and 7 factions, so I’m looking for the best way to get more of that. They’re all on sale now so would be a good time. I don’t have much time to dig Into the SP part of things right now unfortunately.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
