Is anyone else finding it difficult to level up charm for family members?

Hey guys! New player here and I just bought Warband in the steam summer sales, I heard about mods like Floris and Diplomacy. As a new player, should I download those mods or wait a bit?

What mods do you recommend for new players?

Would love to hear your opinions!
