Disappointed Diplomacy

Just got back into the game agter the war sails expansion. And I am disappointed at the shallow level of fiplomacy still in the game. So many aded features and yet they could not add a truce mechanic...or even a way to influence nobles to change policy. Furthermore the changes they made are banal and redundant.. Explain to me why my "ALLY" Just deckared war on me after i PAID them 500k money to attack another faction. Keep in mind this was with 72 days remaining on the alliance. Alright, why can't I besiege castles or towns?

The tides have finally turned and I'm attacking the Rhodoks, but now I'm not given the option to besiege any of their places. I am at war with them and I have -60 rep with them yet I can't do anything, yay.

What could be the problem? I currently have:

150 Soldiers, A companion with 5 Engineer, Very bad rep against the faction.

And I'm still not given the option.

Edit: The war literally just ended 2 minutes after I made this post, well crap.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
