Is there a mod that changes the formation system to the one from Warband?

In Warband you would allocate troops to formations on your party screen. You could put individual troops in formation 1,2, 3 etc. In bannerlord it feels cumbersome having to do it in the battle deployment screen using the sliders. Is there a way to change this? submitted by /u/FingersToKeyboard [link] [comments]

(Prophecy of Pendor) Can you have the same custom knighthood order in multiple castles?

Let's say I build the order in one settlement and then level everything up--- do I have the option of then just paying the 20K and a gem to open up the same order in another location? Or would I have to then start from scratch on a second custom order. Submitted December 31, 2019 at 07:48PM by RealWanderingWizard https://ift.tt/2Qubpbu

Question from inferior console player.

Hay, so now that banner Lord is comings out (knock on wood) I was wondering if guys could recommend a cheep laptop (under 600$ prefer 300$) that will run it. I've only experience warband with a console and I absolutely love it, and it's a damn shame I can't experience all these mods you guys talk about so with the new mount and blade being released in a few months I want to be able to truly get the mount and blade experience in all its glory. I'm not exactly a computer n00b but I've been out the game for a longgggggg time.... When I played I had a radion 9250 that was a 512 mb graphics card and that cost me 200$ and that was the shit at the time. So drop a link. Are there mods that add mechanics like those from Crusader Kings 2?

I'm mainly talking of Rulers having children who grow up and for Nobles and the player to be able to have kids. And for Nobles to be killable so say if you were to kill a king it would cause a succession crisis between powerful ambitious nobles and his heir. Something of quality though one where architecture makes sense so if you enter a Nordic inspired town you won't see buildings that would belong in the Sultanate. or If it says the year is 400 AD yet everyone is running around with armor from 1100s-1300s. and not be buggy with towns being open fields or underwater, and filled with CTD. Perisno automatic companion equipment upgrade broken?

I've run into an issue where trying to auto-upgrade my companions has funny results. It tends to unequip things, most noticeably arrows, gloves, and horses. Headgear and body armour seem to be fine but my companions tend to lose a lot of their other gear. Another thing (this might just be a limit of the mod) is that it tends to equip things they shouldn't be using, like no-mount bows when they're mounted. Should I just avoid autoequipping or is there a way to fix it? Submitted December 31, 2019 at 11:07AM by DanielGin https://ift.tt/2ZDvFff

Viking Conquest question, please help.

So I come to the point where I'm a vassal of Denmark and want to start making my own faction, what's the best thing to do? Like If I attack I'll get war declarations from everyone and I don't know how to balance like my army in a castle and the army that comes with me so I can defend myself, when should I make my company members part of my kingdom as vassals, can someone explain how I can branch off to make my own kingdom and start taking over? Questions from a Noob

Hi all. I'm pretty new to Warband but boy am I having a blast. I have a few questions, mostly regarding army selection for battle since its been bugging me a lot. Forgive me if these questions have already been posted but I really didn't know how to frame these in the first place. (Note I am using the Diplomacy mod, really adds a bit of life to the game) So first off, if I and let's say, 200 men taken on a 300 men army, and my battle size limiter is 150 men, how many of my men will face the enemies men ? Will it be equal, 75 on 75, or will the enemy have more men then me ? How exactly does this work ? Second off, Butterlord Harlaus granted me Uxkhal so yay, but a 1100 Nord army is currently sieging me down. I have about 104 troops in the city. Out of these, 54 are garrisoned and the rest are from my army. So will the game spawn in the garrison or my army troops first ? Cause I've editing my army so that my nord infantry comes first and then the rhodok sharpshooter, b

What the best troop counter for khergits?

I always have 80 swadian cavalry a mixture of both man at arms and knights and also 50 sarranid cavalry also a mixture of both tiers but, these troops can easilt wipe out any army of 300 with little to no dead units but whenever i get into a battle with the khergits one troop dying after another keeps me insane their archers are hard to kill because of how fast their horses are are there anyway i can beat the khergits while keeping me sane? The Red Feast

In a recent playthrough, I was witness to perhaps the greatest unscripted plot twist in Calradic history. It played out like something out of Game of Thrones. As a vassal of King Ragnar of the Nords, we were waging a laughably one-sided war against the Kingdom of Swadia. Because of Swadia's feasting habits, we did not ever encounter any of their armies in the field as we grinded down castle after castle. It was early in the game, so no one else had taken any Swadian fiefs yet. We had taken Suno, Ryibelet and Derchios Castle. Ragnar was particularly fond of our Marshall, Jarl Irya, cursed be his name, so he awarded every captured fief to him. Then, treason. The former Lord of Tihr was found guilty of crimes against the realm and was exiled. His fiefs were awarded once again to Jarl Irya, cursed be his name. The campaign ends on a high note and the marshal hosts a feast in the city of Tihr. All the lords are invited. I decide to rescue a kidnapped girl from Sargoth before joining

Kurultai - Calradic Campaign #48

The old Noyan look down upon his rival's warriors, upon the horsehair standards and lamellar vests, gleaming in their battle array. The sky had been dark for weeks, but a ray of light pierced the clouds and he saw behind the veil the clear blue of heaven. Ancestors, spirits of winds, of mountains, of wolves and of the great unending sky , he thought, Let me scour this shame on our people today, or let me not see tomorrow if I should fail . His mind's eye lingered back to the Kurultai. A black plume of smoke reached into the great unending sky. A fearsome gale rolled black clouds over the Earth, and heaven shielded its sight from the great shame below. The remains of the yurts smouldered, and wolves lingered amidst the arrow stricken elders. The Kurultai, the most sacred of Khergit rites, was violated. The old Noyan looked despondently down upon the blasphemy before him, but a sight in the distance caused him to stir - he raised his eyes to see a standard appear over the h

Refused to ransom enemy lord, now I can’t get rid of him. What should I do?

Hi guys! Very new player here. I recently won a battle and took an enemy lord prisoner. When the ransom offer came I refused in the hopes that someone would eventually offer me a higher sum but so far nobody has. The contract I was fighting under expired but this lord is still in my custody and I kinda want him out since he’s sapping my men’s morale. Trouble is I can’t find any way to release or kick him out. Is there any way to be rid of him short of reloading an old save? Submitted December 29, 2019 at 01:40PM by ImperatorIndicus https://ift.tt/2F2kpiV

I know its kinda cringe but ive always wanted to write a roleplay for my characters. After many k hours of gametimes this is the one that started it all... Or maybe is a mixture of all the characters Ive played.

I still remember... My first character: Joas. Born in an impoverished and dying noble house, ready to conquer the world after losing his father. Fought his first days in the arena, afraid and not even being able to block a hit. Getting knocked out and knocked out. But he didnt give up, he learned the way of the sword and started to help the townsfolk. Getting rid of bandits and being a small hero of the people. He tasted defeat often, getting captured and losing valuables every now and then. Foolishly and bravely he met a claimant. Lady Isolda of Suno. Moved by her story he raised his sword for her and swore his allegiance. He swore to give her the throne but "oh Joas! what a naive and fool kid!"... The rebellion was crushed at every attempt and Joas wasnt able to keep that sacred promise to her queen. Swallowing his ego and with teary eyes he apologized to Isolda for failing her and left the camp at dawn. He rode towards the mountains into the rhodokian lands. He needed

best way to level troops?

I usually go for trainer skill, try to get Lezalit, and fight steppe bandits around Ichamur or Sea Raiders around Bulugha Castle and Rivacheg. Are there any better ways to get xp for them, with minimal risk of losing troops? The main issue with steppe bandits is they are hard to catch, while sea raiders are a threat to low-level troops, and high-level troops in large numbers. Also, no training camps. Those are just painful. Submitted December 29, 2019 at 09:57AM by ThreadRetributionist https://ift.tt/2MFsdLP

Question for people who have played BOTH the original mount and blade and warband

So I started with the original mount and blade, which from the looks of this subreddit is kinda rare (at least from what I’ve seen most start with warband and haven’t touched the original). I’ve reached a point in the original where I think I’m happy to end but can continue if I desire. So I decided to start up warband because of all the great things I’ve heard about it. And I LOVE IT . So many things I wish I could do in the original I can now do. BUT there are a couple things I miss from the original. I want your opinions on what you miss from the original. Doesn’t matter big or small, I’m just curious to see. For me personally I miss the original map, but they may just be due to much longer exposure and familiarity with it. However I think it was more balanced with how it was structured. There were no protruding peninsulas, every faction shared borders with two others besides Swadia. The way the map was structured allowed for a much more dynamic battlefront. There were a few natu

I still remember when I got the trial version for the first mount&blade and oh boy..

I was a young kid and I was super excited about it since I had never heard about that game. I was just casually scrolling a site that had lots of game demos for download and I happened to click on mount&blade. I downloaded it and instantly got hooked. I was so disappointed that the trial only allowed you to play up to lvl 7 or something like that. I restarted the game so many time until I finally asked my mother that if I could use her credit card to unlock the full game. And that was it, my journey began. I can't believe that finally after 11 years, I get to play bannerlord. Im now 28 (soon 29) and I couldn't be happier that I'm about to be one of those who've survived to see this game released. How do I get quality lords in my kingdom?

I have a modest little 2 city, 3 castle kingdom. In previous attempts at rule I ended up with a bunch of ungrateful jerks for vassals. I'm hoping to get a nobler class of noble this time around. Unfortunately I only have random dudes showing up in my court asking to join (just like last time) and I don't know how to reliably determine which ones are ingrates and which will make good vassals. Bannerlord idea: Towns increase morale?

In my opinion resting for a few days in an allied town should replenish a party's morale. It would just make sense since the troops would go to the tavern, go buy stuff etc. It is really annoying in Warband when we are just destroying a faction, but my troops keep deserting because their morale sucks. I dunno, if Taleworlds did this it probably be better than what I've described. I just think that it would be a nice feature to have, since I'm pretty sure actual armies did that back in the 13th century. The Downfall of the Rhodok Empire

Possibly the most interesting scenario that has occurred throughout my save. The Kingdom of Swadia was on its knees as their lands fell to the power of the Rhodoks. Under Count Reland as our marshal, we won victory after victory until the Swadians were reduced to a single castle, Tilbaut Castle. One more siege and they would finally be extinct. However, King Graveth made a fatal decision by deciding to let Harlaus and his remaining goons rot there until the end of their days. We did as he commanded, and left the Swadians alone. https://imgur.com/oBzD62H We decided to grow our empire by conquering fiefs from the Nords and Sarranids until our empire stretched from the deserts of Shariz to the coast of Tihr. There was no Nordic or Sarranid foe that could match the common man with a crossbow. Afterward, our Empire experienced a golden age of peace and prosperity as no kingdom dared to face our wrath. Bored of the long peace, Graveth greedily feasted in Jelkala every month, becoming the m

[Gekokujo] Caravans and Income

I just started playing Gekokujo (Daimyo Edition, that is) a few days ago, but I haven't played Mount and Blade in years, either. My memories of playing Native consisted mostly of frustration with my allies' AI and making fucking bank through the silk trade. This is the same old AI I remember, but trade runs don't seem to be worthwhile in Gekokujo. I can't make sense of which city or regions produce what products, and even then, the profits are pretty marginal, not to mention the merchants never seem to have much of an item to sell. Like, oh boy, I could flip hemp for 300, that's great! But oh, wait, they've only got two hemp in stock. ANYWAY, more to the point: how does one go about maintaining their army in this mod? I'm fluctuating between 50 and 100, mostly comprised of peasants, rather than samurai. My mercenary contract covers about a third of the cost, and God forbid I want to equip my companions a little better. I've somewhat come to accept tha

The hardest challenge in PoP isn't one of the unique spawns, fighting the Noldor, or even trying to solo Maltese's Dread Legion naked armed only with a torch

It's trying to hunt down enough Mystmountain spawns to destroy them. Two hours of riding over them with 100 CKO knights and I got them from "fading" to "crushed" but I haven't seen anything but their rejects in 20 minutes. The Jatu can have 3 armies on the map and still show as destroyed but apparently the Mystmountain tribes have invisible legions somewhere. Help! I don't know how to progress in M&B Warband. I need some advice.

I'm not into reading guides and spoiling myself the experience of finding stuff out on my own, but I've put around 100 hours into M&B Warband and I still can't progress past a certain point very early in the game. I have some specific questions, but I'd love any advice you can give: How can I increase my income of money? Taking jobs from the guild masters and selling loot isn't getting me much. I've heard of creating enterprises, but I can't figure out the optimal way of dealing with that. What is the fastest/best way to train troops? I feel like I lose troops faster than I can train them. What are the best troops from each faction, and why? How does trading really work? is it a viable source of income? When should I be getting into wars? How should I prepare my party to fight bigger armies in wars. How can I influence wars and really help the faction I am pledged to? What can I do in a battle to increase my odds of winning (besides killing ene

Bannerlord multiplayer class system is inferior to Warband multiplayer gear system

The ability to select your own gear according to your own playstyle is one of the best features Warband MP has. It offers both player freedom and balance (gear cost being balanced around standard rules with 1k starting gold for years now) while Bannerlord has class system which is complete garbage compared to gear buy system. It offers basically NO freedom (ability to select one "bonus" is not even funny) and "balance" or "esport" arguments hold no value here as class system is terribly unbalanced, especially when comparing factions and offer no freedom of choice or atleast possibility for different playstyles and tactics any sort of "proplay" requires. Why is this garbage system used instead of something whole community is used to, which is proven to be working very well for everything and everyone, including mods and proplay? Is it subject to change? If its not subject to change, is it hardcoded? Submitted December 25, 2019 at 06:36AM b

Anyone seen that "Explorer!" mod?

Apparently it removes the overworld screen from the game and makes the whole of Calradia into one MASSIVE, seamless, openworld map. So you're essentially playing the entire game in the 1st/3rd person perspective mode. It's still in very early development, but holy jumping hell, it sounds incredible! ... It also sounds like it'd kill performance, though. Submitted December 24, 2019 at 04:45PM by OlorinTheOtaku https://ift.tt/35TlTrr

Campaign coop/multiplayer

I am thinking a lot about it. Like throw in singleplayer map another player, a friend you can play with. You can cooperate or even play against each other. I know there is a mod where you can play coop in a party but I would love that feature you both can have each own party and play independetly, even more players than 2. If you conquered all of Calradia but the last faction just doesnt get eliminated here's what to do...

The reason that faction doesn't get eliminated is beacuse there's still some lords left from that faction, normally you just need to defeat all of them in a battle once and they will disappear, but the game is very buggy by the end of the game and what usually happens is when you defeat a lord they just respawn somewhere in the map with an army size of 1. This shouldn't happen but warband is very buggy. So what you need to do is to capture all of the and put them in a prison (ALL OF THEM). Once all of the lords is imprisoned the game will end and you will get the achievement. it also works if some of the lords are captured by your vassals but they tend to release them very quickly so try to capture them yourself. Now it will be very annoying to capture all of them beacuse they are very fast beacuse of their 1 army size and most of the time you won't even get the option to capture them beacuse they escape. and if that faction has a lot of lords it will be near impossi

Pendor Independent Roleplay Playthrough.

Hey everyone! This is my first post on the sub here and I’m happy to be here. Just need some advice on how to proceed with my playthrough. So as the title says, I’m doing a full independent playthrough with Prophesy of Pendor. The rules are simple: Cannot become a vassal at all for any faction whatsoever. Cannot use faction units from the main factions. Only Pendor, Vaccavia, Mettenheim, Barclay, Noldor and Mercenaries allowed. The exception to this are any units that my companions bring in. I chose the letter option in character creation so basically only the Fierdsvain and D’Shar like me. So the issue here is I got a really good and lucky start. Currently level 11, with around 16k Denars from clearing out Vanskerry Raiders. I have Adventurer’s, Vaccavia Sentinels, Pendor Footmen, Omen Seekers (from Red Brotherhood trader) and one Noldor Ranger (Also Red Brotherhood trader). My companions are Lethaldiran, Sir Rayne and Sir Jocelyn who I sent out to get Right to Rule. My

I really hope that in Bannerlord we can built reputations based on your skills/build

In Warband, and from what I've read about Bannerlord, you build reputation based only on your in-game actions, either by helping NPCs, or killing bandits, or bribing, etc etc. I really love the idea of another form of reputation for your character that is based on your main attributes and combat feats. Are you playing with a character that has a ton of Strength and has a lot of proficiency with certain weapons? NPCs call you "strong" or "monster" or some kind of nickname that you can also get to choose when your reputation threshold reaches that certain point. The same for a good archer, or a good horse rider. And those nicknames can have a few effects, like for example if you are known for your use of a two-handed zweihander, some enemies will run, or cower, or if you are known to be a very good diplomat, then NPCs/soldiers will try to protect you at all costs because you are an important influencing personality for example. I don't expect from such a sys

Had a quest to get cattle for a Lord but it was canceled a week early?

I did not end the quest and as far as I know I did nothing to upset anyone. A lord wanted me to get some cattle as food for his campaign. But then an election came up, I voted. And then all of the sudden it said quest canceled. What happened? Does a canceled quest hurt honor like failing one? Or anything Submitted December 19, 2019 at 02:53AM by mariusiv https://ift.tt/2Z3zr0S

Tournament question

So I completed my first tournament earlier today in Swadia. Loved it, it was awesome, bet 100 denars every chance I could. Well I liked the tournament so much I sought out another. Currently in the nord tournament, I love how the tournament matches are different for each kingdom. But I’m noticing the betting isn’t as high. The odds aren’t as bad against me. Is it different in each kingdom or has my fame made me less of an underdog? Submitted December 18, 2019 at 11:35PM by mariusiv https://ift.tt/2MbEya6

Ottoman mods a thing? If so any fleshed out ones?

I know Ottoman Scenario is out there, and i've tried it but honestly it seems pretty barebones and there's definitive room for improvement, i know WFAS has something similar, but i'm looking for something focused on Ottomans and the Balkans, which i know OS is the closest i'll get but i'm shooting in the dark and hoping there's some other mod with ottomans, i believe 12th Century the asia mod has a Seljuk faction, who were precursors to the ottomans and the Renaissance Italy mod does have an ottoman faction, but the map of the balkans is completely wrong (Nis Southwest of Sarajevo??!!??) but it seems like the only fleshed out mod with ottomans, i'm just taking a leap and hoping maybe someone knows another mod with ottomans, but at this point i'm desperate enough for an Ottoman mod i'd just start making a mod of my own tbh...
