STUCK AT BEGINING OF WARSAILS

I escorted the merchants and fought off two ships in a sea battle . I'm on the Scourge of the Seas quest. It tells me to talk to Gunnar via a golden exclamation point. I go to talk to him and he says thst he is waiting on new." What do I do now? It seems as though there are no obvious prompts and the quest still exists. I need help specifically with advancing this quest...I can't believe I am stuck this early in the game. If anyone has any advice, I'm really desperate. 1.5.9 Beta: Does anybody know the difference between regular bolts and balanced bolts?

As per title. I have both in my inventory and the tooltip shows no difference in their characteristics whatsoever. Curious to know whether there's something going on behind the scenes. Maybe they're faster? Maybe they arc a bit less? Couldn't find it online. If they are functionally the same I would gladly switch to a large bag of bolts for the extra ammo, but until I find out I'll keep the balanced ones equipped, ya never know
