[Bannerlord] How can I create more wanderers/companions?

So I was looking for a spicevendor to operate caravans but I couldn't find anyone useful at all and when I checked the encyclopedia I just realized all the wanderers are just bunch of thiefs and useless warriors. There is only a single medic and thats all.

Would hiring those wanderers and then getting them killed, get me a new batch of wanderers or would I just waste what I have in my hands?

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
