If you've ever 1-v-1ed in the arena while mounted with a spear against another with the same set up, instead of a traditional "joust at full speed" it turns into the enemy just trying to get on top of you. You can't outrun them, they just continue following you and making the same turns you make, staying inches away from your horse's ass. It is absolutely maddening. If it's a 4-team cavalry match, it just turns into a giant mob on top of each other spearing the guy in the middle until he dies. It's not fun, it's not skillful, and it completely removes the "couch lance" function in arena matches. Please, please fix this. Put a linear barrier up down the middle of the arena map like in medieval times, make it so the AI regroups and charges at you, do both, do something . Even adding javelins so you don't just spear-block-spear-block would be an improvement. Trading spear blocks inches away from your opponent for 20 minutes straight is not...

Hey guys, Been playing for a bit and have been playing the latest patch. I think the economy feels better now which is really good! Caravans and Workshops feel more satisfying which is a welcome change. However, I feel like some “choices” that should matter just don’t seem to matter. 1) In my play, it doesn’t seem to matter where you make your caravan or who you make it through. It would make sense that there would be some sort of impact from where you formed your caravan on the gameplay. 2) Your Caravans do not interact with your workshops or fiefs which seem like a missed opportunity. It would make sense that you could alter the behavior of your caravans similar to the way you alter the behavior of your clan parties. One setting for pure profit seeking, one setting for focusing on supplying your fiefs and workshops with needed inputs and one setting with a balance. 3) The way fiefs and workshops consume goods is counterintuitive. It is difficult to inject goods into your fiefs ...

I'm new to Warband and I have been playing for a couple of weeks now. So far I'm really liking it but I'm afraid I may have fucked up a bit. I worked as a merc for a bit and then became a vassal for Swadia and Rhodoks respectively until I had some money and about 60 fellas with me. I kept pissing off the kings by starting shit on the orders of some of the other lords. The kings kept not giving me any fiefs so I decided to leave, start my own kingdom, and take my own castle. This hasn't turned out well for me. Now every kingdom is at war with me and no one wants to make peace. I've recruited one other lord but we just keep getting skullfucked. Now I'm trying to crawl back to make peace and give up my castle but no one wants that. Do I have any options here apart from getting skullfucked? My main goal is always to hold as many cities as possible because they make the most money and more important you can build forums there to generate influence, with is the biggest bottleneck resource mid to late game. But if you hold a city of a different culture you get a -3 debuff to fief loyalty, which is quit annoying. Hi, so I'm a vassal, I have 1 city & 2 castles, maxed all of their constructions, have 3/5 successful workshops. Each of my castle's garrisons, my party, and my wife's party cost around 1-2k gold, and so I make around 7k per day, and I lose around 7k per day to keep all those settlements protected. Most of the garrisons are 3-4 tier troops, but even if I downgraded them all, it wouldn't make me that much money. I tried going against the king before, and I couldn't convince a vassal to join me, cuz he asked for 1.5 million gold. Assuming that I want to make this amount within 100 days, I'd need to earn 15k per day . There's just no way I could make that much difference in my income. Even If I had zero costs, I still wouldn't make this much. Maybe if I participated in the war and got all those tributes, but I've already made Vladia way too powerful, I actually need them to LOSE a few fiefs, not gain more, considering that I intend to fight t...

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I played banner lord, I usually marathon a game for a month then jump ship and come back later. Came back recently to check out the newest version of the game since the console version will be released soon. Made sure to download the newest version of every mod that was required for my little Warband as it's my favorite mod, and tried to launch it. I know the issue is specifically My little Warband because I can launch the game with all the other mods and it will work. I tried moving it around because I know the load order is important but still no luck. I then went onto a jackiefish video and followed his instructions, jumping over the mods I didn't care for but grabbing the "required" ones such as BetterExceptionwindow, ButterLib, UiExtenderEx, and Mod Configuration Menu, I then launched the game with all of these except for My little Warband and it worked, yet when I tried my little Warband still no luck. https://www...

TL:DR Every time I go to sell a workshop I do a hard eyeroll as it makes 0 economic sense. You pay 30k but can only sell for 7? No. If you want to represent liquidity in a business, you could give the player a choice to sell for 7 now, or wait an undetermined amount of time to make 30k. (a random number of days between 2 and 30, let's say, to represent the selling process) I have seen people complain about their profitability of workshops, but it's pretty easy to make money and it makes sense that you don't get your money back until roughly a year later. You make BANK in the long term and will far and away be the wealthiest clan in calradia in no time. It's just the resell value that kills me. Happened over 20 times now. Installed serve as a soldier and the harmony mods and tried to play it. The mod checkbox has alerts on it and when I open the game it warns me that "serve as a soldier requires native(.-1-1-1-1), Sandbox(.-1-1-1-1) etc..." I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I tried two different versions of the game 1.7.0 with the right mod version for the patch. And on the current 1.8.0 as well. I allowed full control to the dll files like everything on the internet said. Nothing seems to work. And it's weird because it seems like this problem is not happening for everyone. I became a lord for Vlandia and we expanded a bit, but now I don't even have time to gather troops as the empires declare wars over and over. Northern empire declares war, aserai too, then sturgians, when we beat northern, the khuzatit declares one, we beat aserai and western empire declares war etc... Hey all! New player here! Love the game and have not binged a game this hard in a long time. I have two questions, and I hope I can get some guidance regarding them. Does the auto simulator take into account the realistic damage impact for troops? I have my main character with tactics of 180. Does this improve my simulation? I have been doing test battles using a scenario where I have 900 troops vs 500. The sim gives me 100-113 casualties on both difficulties. The best I could do was 150 on realistic and 87 on very easy commanding myself. So I am confused on how the sim works. Same with castle defending. I usually win 1000 vs 2000 pretty easily on autosim. Am about to test the defense on realistic and very easy now. Maybe there isn't a way to beat the sim. ​ Thanks, much appreciated. Love the game. First the Sword- Speed, damage, handling, and length all in good proportion This is my favorite sword that functions as a 1H, 2H, and civ weapon for jailbreaks. In general this is usually the only weapon I craft now days for all members of my party. If your companions have 1H skill you give them a shield and if they have 2H you don't, easy as that. 1H stats 2H stats The only parts not easily identifiable are the blade and grip hence why they are highlighted in the pictures. All sliders are max except the grip that you slide up till you see 50/106/90 as the thrust, swing, and handling numbers in the 2H tab. ---- Next the polearm- Couch damage over 40, swing speed of 80, and solid swing damage, the trifecta. It seems that when using an xbox controller the movement and passage of time on the world map is controlled by A) pressing A to travel to a point at a normal speed, B) double-pressing A to travel to a point at fast-forward, C) pressing X to toggle between paused and normal speed, and D) pressing RB to toggle between paused and fast-forward. Is there a way to toggle between fast-forward and normal speed that I'm missing, that would work similarly to traveling/accompanying and pressing CTRL + space in Warband? My underated Kingdom is most likely either thr Khuzaits and Aserai, You have strong bowman in Battania and Strong Infantry and Cavalry in Empire, but those Horse Archers of the Khuzaits and Aserai do kill very hard. I've decided in my current game to start my Kingdom in Khuzait cities because they felt like the "easiest" but their cheer number of Horse Archers and just Archers in general do a lot of pain. I have most of my Vassals recruiting within my kingdom which means that most of them Higher Khuzait troops and a few Empire troops from nearby towns. However when I call my Army I have 50+ Horse archers just sending them out and letting them charge is absolutely insane. They never charge into groups and they just circle the enemies and keep shooting shot after shot. It's absolutely insane. I once saw my troops take out most of my enemies Infantry and Bowmen without moving a muscle I see a lot of topics where people discuss which is best, but in the end I can see ...

Well, the title. In Warband, I used to love roleplaying. I remember playing a Robin Hood-esque character. Some of the best time I had in Warband was during that. Mods made it fun. In what ways (modded or otherwise) can I make it a good roleplaying game? When I say roleplay, I mean making character-driven choices that force the player to make certain decisions. For instance, I could choose to "not behead someone" or something like that based on my character's backstory. No CPU or gpu overheat. Nothing in crash logs, I played it when the game first came out no issues the laptop can play elden ring on low with no fps stutters. The only issue I am seeing is that there's something up with the power my charger is 250v but I heard people getting the same issue with 300 and it getting fixed only when they changed to 500. I just reinstalled this game after almost a year. It's disappointing to see a complete lack of development on the MP side of things. It looks like an incredible Turkish dumpster fire. I thoroughly enjoyed my Napoleonic/Warband multiplayer experience. The community was great and the variety of servers was excellent. Running around as a naked wielding a 2H great axe will never get old. I know many people have been pushing for improvements to the single player. Trying to add the better workshop mod but when I downloaded it and looked for the Modules folder it wasn't there. First time modding M&B2 so I hadn't noticed it before. Anyone know what's up? Everything I'm googling is just coming up with results like "how to recruit troops", "how to make an army" ect. But I'm running across the planet with an army of like 7 lords and I can only recruit my own personal troops and the lords won't recruit any. I remedied this problem in another playthrough by having family and my own lords that I recruited so I could max out my personal arny, then give my generals the troops and keep going. But I can't talk to these guys like I could my own lords and family. Also my family consists of my brother, infant sister and brother, wife who's a crucial governer atm and 2 babies. So I can't really use them the way I want to. Lastly, my own companions are all out running caravans or governing other fiefs. Looking up the mods, it seems most aim to bring M&B's core big battle gameplay into other eras/universes (Star Wars, Tolkien, Japan etc), but I've always wanted to see the mechanics of this game applied to a party based RPG (stats, classes etc). Was looking at installing new mods but I do not have a way to unblock dll in the files anyone have any way they worked around this or got them to work in this case. Hi all. I'm very new to Bannerlord, have only had it a few weeks, and I feel a bit stuck. I've assembled the 3 bits of the dragon banner, I've managed to get myself a city and an army full of totaly not Mongol horse archers. The issue I have is that in the city I have, it's got incredibly low morale/loyalty, and if I stop the infinitely repeating "fairs and feast" or whatever it's called, the morale drops really quickly and so I cant actually build anything to increase its output. I'm haemhorraging denars and honestly I don't feel like running around the countryside auto-killing tiny bands of looters. Does anyone have any advice on where to go from here? I pick up the occasional mission from a passing lord to give them some horses, and whenever there's a tournament I win that, but I'm not sure where to go from here. My army isn't big enough to take on a siege, I don't think, so I can't get any more cities. So, yeah. Feels l...

Heya, so I haven’t played in about a year or so. Last time I played, the enemy AI was pretty bad in open field battles. Super easy to exploit and just bait them into archers etc. They would rarely hold formations and start charging into you all Willy nilly. Is it any better these days? I remember in Warband’s VC mod for example, the enemy commanders used specific formations/tactics and it could be pretty challenging at times. Taleworlds should add a dismount feature in combat, I know there is a dismount command thats not what I’m talking about. I mean like an update that allows foot troops to dismount enemy cavalry when they aren’t moving fast and are stuck in an enemy formation. Yeah your cav would probably die a lot more often but it would make combat a lot more realistic if they could be thrown off their horses. I don't know if I'm dull, but whenever I go to siege a castle or town, I can't build any siege equipment. I'm playing on 1.8 with some mods and I cant seem to figure out why, I even tried giving myself max engineering to test it but still nothing. Am I missing something or is my game bugged? Also, AI armies are able to build siege equipment thought I'd include that. Note: I don't know if a mod I have downloaded is causing this or what but any help would be appreciated. I have an issue where I progress to certain points in the game and get stuck usually right when my clan levels up. The issue is that I simply cannot find the direction I need to go in before it's to late and I bleed out all my funds, I'm forced to savescum. My current issue is even becoming a mercenary I can't tell who is at war with who so I cannot find anyone who wants to recruit me, I also have no clue how to achieve land. I play on max difficulty. I absolutely obliterate any army that’s 1.5x my size or less, but I’m always trying to get better. Current formation/tactics: 40% archers, usually a mix of fian champs and xbows 20% infantry, usually heavily weighted towards legionary 30% cavalry, almost entirely druzhniks or elite cataphracts 10% mounted archers, don’t really care what they are so long as they’re t5 Tactics: shield wall 10-20 paces in front of archer wall, preferably lower in altitude so archers can fire over Archers spread (f2+f3) Horse archers immediately behind Cavalry immediately behind, also spread Everyone on hold fire till 185 distance Horse archers and archers fire Usually knock out a significant number of troops. 100 distance before enemy cav hits, horse archers on f6 - they usually distract enough that there isn’t a full charge wrecking my infantry, and my archers are slaughtering horses anyway 20 distance before infantry meet, infantry fire 10 distance before infantry meet, cav...

I started playing again after like 4 years (this time on ps4). My fighting skills are decent I‘d say, but I forgot basically everything else that‘s important. So I founded my own kingdom after two hours of playing. Do y‘all think I began an impossible mission? Right now I‘m only at war with one faction (nords).
