Derthert is a bastard

Just got done with a war with the Aserai and took two major cities wasn't even on the roster to get them even though my relation is 100 with Derthert and above 60 with pretty much every other noble clan leader in Vlandia. I seen someone said it gives it to you if your fiefs are the closest so we go to war with the Western empire I take Granotar castle and own Thractorae right next door and again not even on the vote with influence at about 1200. Not sure what else to do other than just start my own kingdom
