how to change shield hp values?

how to edit shield hp values? I'm using realistic battle mod and so shields break in 2-4 hits and are mostly useless. so I want to 10x their hp. i tried changing the hp values in sandbox core and in realistic battle mod. for some reason they aren't changing in the game. i have tried doing the same for armor values and it works but sadly not shields. I'm using notepad++
