In Warband you would allocate troops to formations on your party screen. You could put individual troops in formation 1,2, 3 etc. In bannerlord it feels cumbersome having to do it in the battle deployment screen using the sliders. Yes, I know they're said to originate from the Vlandians, but with the other factions there's a direct (or indirect) reference to the Warband factions in some way. As far as I can tell, there's no nod to the Kingdom of Swadia in Bannerlord.
- the Sarranid Sultanate directly originates from the Aserai. One of the Aserai clans is the Banu Sarran, and one of the companions in Warband (Lezalit I think) blatantly references a "House of Sarran." Safe logic is that what had been the Aserai was taken over by the Sarran at some point, and the name was simply applied to the people as a whole.
- Same deal with the Khergit Khanate originating from the Khuzaits. One of the Khuzait clans is literally called the Khergit clan.
- The Kingdom of Vaegirs 'probably' originate from the Vagiroving clan in the Sturgians. There's a blatant reference to a "Vaegir Guard" in Bannerlord in some dialogue.
- Some parts of Sturgian notes mention their connection to the Nords, and there are sea raiders in Bannerlord. Nords in Warband are said to be fairly recent arrivals.
- There's no nod to the Rhodoks, but the Rhodoks in Warband are technically a breakaway from the Swadians. There is the town of Rhotae owned by the Western Empire in Bannerlord. Possible inference could be that 'Rho' in this context refers to the region, a native group or tribe, etc.
