Need help trying to create a custom troop tree using my little warband

I don't know how to really create a well balanced troop tree.

I am using my little warband. As I am trying to create a archer and infantry troop tree with 1 line consisting of spears, the other consistent of Axes, a different line consisting of a sword and shield, I would ideally want my archers to have good equipment for their tier.

I am really kind of lost using this mod don't know where to start
