Lore
Senator Lucon has been dismissed from leadership.
The Imperials who follow the Calradic Senate pride themselves on their adherence to the ancient laws of the Calradic Empire. For many months, they were content to follow the leadership of Lucon so long as he respected the authority of the Senate.
Lucon believed that his countless victories in battle against the many enemies of the Senate meant that he was above the very institution he had devoted himself to. The Senate, afraid of Lucon’s repeated usage of his veto power and of his rising popularity, dismissed Lucon from his Generalship and as leader of the Senate in an uncontested vote of no confidence.
To the surprise of many, Senator Lucon peacefully retired to his estate without any dispute over his removal from power. The Senate, flabbergasted, quickly raised the prominent general, Vaesor, to replace Lucon as Consul over the Northern Empire.
While the Senate no doubt secured a political victory with the deposition of Lucon, many common soldiers in the North Empire reportedly feel uneasy about the decision. Lucon had led the North Empire to many victories on nearly all fronts. If such a man is not worthy of leading the Senate, then who is?
Consul Vaesor, realizing the need for an easy victory to legitimize his new position, has turned his gaze east. During the days of the unified Calradic Empire, the city of Makeb had been a well-established Imperial client state. However, ever since its capture by the Urkhunaits of the Khuzaits forty years ago, the city has become well-integrated into the Khuzait Khanate.
Seemingly lucky for Consul Vaesor, the Khanate has recently deposed the Urkhunait clan in favor of a new Khatun, Anjikhin Khatun. Questioning the capabilities of this new leader, Consul Vaesor has supported a motion in the Senate to help liberate the so-called oppressed people of Makeb.
With the Imperials expecting an easy capture of Makeb, the Khuzaits are all too eager to prove them dead wrong.
In Meta Terms
Welcome to the nineteenth event of the Bannerlord Calradic Campaign! This event will feature the Northern Imperials facing off against the Khuzaits for the very first time.
If the North Empire can defeat the Khuzaits in the open field of battle, they will lay siege to Makeb. If the Imperials are rejected from the walls of Makeb, the Imperial Army will take the weakened Urikskala Castle due to the weakened state of the Khuzaits. If the Khuzaits defeat the Imperials in the field, they will capture Epinosa Castle. From there, the Khuzaits will lay siege to Syratos Castle.
Unfamiliar with the Calradic Campaign? Have no fear! The Calradic Campaign is a casual, player driven, story based event. There are no strict rules or signups, and players of all skill levels often come! If you've never tried multiplayer, now is your best chance to experience large scale formations and battles without the overly strict practices typically found in line battle/clan style events.
Victories in our flagship monthly events are represented on the overall campaign map, while roleplay surrounding the events and their consequences takes place both during said events and on the community Discord. Joining the Discord allows you to communicate with your fellow faction members, trash talk others, and rise through the ranks to one day become lord of a village, castle, city, or if you're particularly successful, an entire kingdom!
To join the event, you will need our Calradic Campaign Module. This module contains all of the custom battle and siege scenes used, as well as many stability fixes and balance changes. Most importantly, the module features three distinct empire factions in multiplayer, each with their own unique perks and cosmetics to lean into the different situations of the three!
There will be a manual installation of the module available for those not playing on Steam. Check the Nexus mods page no sooner than the Friday before the event for the correct download. You will need the CalradicCampaign#19 file.
As a general rule of thumb, the Calradic Campaign module should be the only one enabled in your launcher! If you have any crashes or issues trying to launch the game / join the server, unsubscribing and resubscribing to the module on workshop will often fix any issues.
Note to clans: While the Calradic Campaign is a public event open to all, clans will not be allowed to organize their own formations and must spread out between teams. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in suspension from the event.
