How to improve auto resolve outcomes?

I auto-resolve 90% of the fights I get into, what can I do for better results? Should I find 1-2 companions with high tactics skill and keep them in my party? Will that help? Do I have to assign them into any role? There is no slot for tactics role, is it enough if I just keep them in my party? As for sieges, should I keep a companion with high engineering skill and assign him in the engineering slot? I just simply suck at fighting and I am better at overall map-control. submitted by /u/Horcsogg [link] [comments]

Viking Conquest Siege Editing

So I’ve played mount and blade Warband for a thousand hours, and Viking Conquest has always been really interesting to me. It has great mechanics and a new balancing of troops to prioritise melee combat over just the same cav armies as in most modifications for M&B.

However the thing that I can’t stand, that ruins any playthrough I attempt, is the siege mechanics. Now I understand that perhaps people like more brutal and realistic sieges, but it always…always seems unfair, that somehow when placing the manlets my best men get RNGed to death with no player input whatsoever. (In the Game of Thrones Viking conquest mod I’ve once had wildings killed fifteen unsulied during the Manlet placement)

The late game of Viking conquest is unbearable for me, the character opinion decrease of thirty whenever you try to siege is crazy as well, but I understand if that’s just something you like.

The point of this post is for a while I’ve been trying to find a way to gut somewhat the issues I have with VC’s sieges. Something more akin to vanilla would be my preferred way. There’s no in game option that I know of to remove these VC siege mechanics. I’d try to edit the game’s files if anyone happens to know how.

Even if no one knows, I’d also really appreciate any Input in general.

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . TaleWorlds Forums

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
