Is anyone else finding it difficult to level up charm for family members?

Best sword in the game to do damage

So I usually main a sword and shield , but I’m not sure what’s the best sword and shield so if anyone can give me an idea on what to use and how to obtain? Like can I craft it or do I have to do something, but I would appreciate it 🙏
