"nobles didn't like executing nobles" is silly and wrong

frankly its just not true and was never true for any of the cultures broadly represented in the game during any of the respective time periods. I think you are all confusing "put the king on a guillotine for the masses to jeer at"(a no-no, for obvious reasons, but even this happened-Andronikos I was passed around Constantinople by a mob and brutally murdered in public!) with the pretty harsh reality of court intrigue and factional fighting that would have accompanied ruling any war ravaged polity in the Mediterranean world at the time. If you were a usurper, a magnate-supporter of a failed duke/king/boyar etc etc etc chances are you needed to flee for your lives when the dust settled if you weren't already "killed on the field" or dead by unrecorded circumstances immediately or after spending a year blinded in a cell along possibly along with your closest family and supporters. I mean really it's just a silly way to defend what is obviously a balancing...

Criticism wanted: Been min/maxing a build for days and I've come to the point I can't improve it further.

Been min/maxing the build I want to play for days due to rerolling a lot due to regrets. Looking for some advice/criticism/suggestions for improvements.

This is my personal benchmarks for what I want in my main character:

1) Shield wall infantry captain focusing on 2H weapons, only using mounted combat Vs cavalry heavy enemy parties

2) Bonus health for myself and troops
3) Not having to rely on a companion for steward in case they die in battle
4) -100% escape chance for enemy lords

Bare minimum build (lvl32'ish):

4|5|4 (6 vigour)

5|0|0 (2 control)

3|5|4 (8 endurance)

5|0|0 (3 cunning)

0|0|0 (2 social)

5|5|0 (8 intelligence)

6 vigour (4 start + 2 from smithing and athletics): Gets you most of the best infantry perks and bonuses, and lets you dip into way of the great axe. Might bump this up to 7 later.

2 control: Wanted 5 initially because I wanted to use impale perk javs, had to sacrifice this for intelligence. Bow skill is only for Skirmish phase master because the -10% ranged damage taken works without a bow too so perfect for a melee character for damage mitigation. Bow doubles as being useful and helping out early game.

8 endurance (6 start + 2 from smithing and athletics): Bonus movement speed and health from athletics is the only thing that makes playing melee on foot possible and enjoyable in Bannerlord difficulty. 8 minimum mandatory. Over eight only grants +14HP, investment value drops after this point.

3 cunning (2 start +1). It sucks ass, but I need to take one attribute into cunning for the scout perk to get prisoner escape to -100%. I also want scouting on my main character to free up a companion slot. Tactics is meh. Roguery is more income but money isn't an issue in bannerlord so it feels pointless.

2 social. Ok so. Getting enough influence in the game feels pointless. In all my games I've never struggled with getting enough influence to get my policies through or gather armies. Trade is useless due to how much money you get from selling loot, smithing, and having 4+ caravans out in the early to midgame through companions. Might drop focus points into leadership (1-5) as it's a good skill imo.

8 intelligence (2 start +6). 7 is "enough". Here's the problem with only getting 7. Medicine is the slowest, grindiest, most nightmarish skill in the entire game other than trade to get to 275 imo. So you want to overcap it just a little bit because it's so excrutiatingly painfully slow to level up. I don't want to die of old age before getting it. Hence 8 not 7. I want to be my own steward because what happens if you don't have high steward and your steward dies? Suddenly you're overcapped on men and your elite boys go bye bye.

At lvl32 you have +8 attributes. I've used 7 here. Considering the last +1 attribute for vigour or endurance. At lvl32 leveling grinds to halt, I don't consider it practical to plan a build beyond this point. But my "ultra late game" stats would be maxing out vigour, endurance, intelligence.

Not a single focus point wasted from character creation This build allows you to not have a single wasted focus point in a skill you won't use. If I ever get lvl40+ I picture it as:

5|5|5 (7 vigour)

5|0|0 (2 control)

5|5|5 (9 endurance)

5|0|0 (3 cunning)

0|5|0 (2 social)

5|5|0 (9 intelligence)

Loadout: 2H axe, glaive, bow for siege battles. But mostly only getting bow for skirmish phase master.

Idea behind the build: Beefy and fast main character infantry wielding a 2H axe in the shield wall, captaining the infantry line. Only using mount and glaive Vs heavy cav parties or army fights. Only using bow in sieges. High health and survivability to troops.

The main frustration with Bannerlord is having to replenish lost troops. Especially elite troops. So imo minister of health - diminishes the frustration of having to recruit and retrain your men severely.

I'm sharing this for help, advice, criticism, and suggestions, because I've hit a wall where I can't seem to further perfect or improve this. So maybe some veteran players here can suggest further fine tuning.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it. Dickplomacy Reloaded!

Hello everyone! :D I just made a mod, it's called Dickplomacy Reloaded. Basically it adds the functionality that you would find in normal mods, such as Dynamic Troop Trees, Custom Troop Trees, Freelancer, Tournament Play Enhancements, Single Screen Character Creation, and Rubiks World Map into Dickplomacy. ^-^ It also doesn't require WSE, but you still need the older (exe) version of Warband that comes with Dickplomacy. (Though I haven't tested it with the newest version of Warband so it might work.) Also, if you do decide to download it, please ignore (DO NOT USE) the "content options" folder, it is legacy, and the mod is compiled from source with all features. (This mod includes source btw) https://www.nexusmods.com/mbwarband/mods/6243/?tab=description Also, I am hoping to support it in the future, i.e through content updates and bug fixes. I hope everyone likes it!! :D Submitted August 11, 2018 at 09:48PM by amazing_lily https://ift.tt/2KMd9rK
