I'm playing with some mods that heavily restrict recruitment, so my army is almost entirely bandits and mercenaries. On land, Monchug's army would destroy mine, but this isn't a land battle and he gifted me several amazing prizes. So in my game recently I was just doing my thing and being a mercenary and I wanted to serve someone other than the Southern Empire and Vlandia so I went to the Sturgia to try them out.
First battle we outnumber the other army by 100 or so more troops. The fight was in a swamp and their strategy was to simply charge at the enemy and we mainly fought knee-high in swamp water
No organization and everyone was all over the place! By the time their infantry showed up their calvary took care of most of us.
We lost the battle and was captured and both times I tried to escape from prison I was caught and had to pay a fee.
So my good troops and my 30k gold was gone all because I signed on with the Sturgia..... never again!
