Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. How does hero death work in this game?

I've been building my prefered character for awhile now, he's age 38, but i've read that given time he will die of old age and I will then play as a different hero character likely one from my main characters lineage.

When does this happen/has this been implemented yet?

Does my learned skills get to carry over to my new character?

If not can I grow like a certain type of successor?
