How to improve auto resolve outcomes?

I auto-resolve 90% of the fights I get into, what can I do for better results? Should I find 1-2 companions with high tactics skill and keep them in my party? Will that help? Do I have to assign them into any role? There is no slot for tactics role, is it enough if I just keep them in my party? As for sieges, should I keep a companion with high engineering skill and assign him in the engineering slot? cant launch bannerolord

Always when i launch it says "this application faced a problem. We need to collect necessary files to fix this problem. Would you like to send these files now?"

Earlier it hasnt had any problem launching, but now it just wont launch. I dont have any mods on
