Okay, let's be completely honest here: Bannerlord still feels a bit barebones and unflavored compared to what it *could* be. And while a big reason for that is that there are still some lacking mechanics, especially in the diplomatic side, it's also the CONTENT. Particularly in this case, the unused lore that could all be made the base for some amazing story quests. Think back to Mount and Blade: Viking Conquest. I'm thinking story quests like that. No, not the shitty 'story quest' we have for the banner and that crap. A proper, fun quest with branching paths that give you choices on how to steer a kingdom on a certain direction, take sides with certain lords, and give you the chance to improve your skills, get gear and get money. Many of the main story quest lords have their own dialogue when you meet them, that is really just unused for anything else thereafter. For example, the feud between Banu Sarran and Banu Qild: The leaders of these clans and Unqid himself

I’m confused. I was just named a vassal of vlandia, and I saw one of our armies disband. I was right next to the castle I wanted to take, so I formed an army. The lords nearby cost relatively low influence so I spent it and formed the army. The lords were on their way for about five seconds, then all of them went back home, ignoring the summons. Is there some mechanic I’m missing? Perhaps I need to have a fief? I figured out changed workshops wont change back to their original resource once you sell them. The khuzait in my playthrough have grown strong so i was thinking what if i buy all their workshops and change them into a resource they dont produce locally and sell them all back as is. I lost 80 troops breaking into this castles unfortunately for the vlandians I have just as many vastles that are pulling large parties and armies than them, unfortunately for me I’m in a 3 front war vs battania, vlandia, and revyl really is all that’s left of sturgia. So, after getting my renoun up high enough that I can pledge myself to a king, and after my army has helped enough in a campaign to start being given fiefs. I have no idea how to proceed. I've never gotten any further in either this game or Warband. I usually get to this point, then just.. the game flatlines. I can't seem to get my leadership up high enough to have more than 80 soldiers in my army. It makes defending cities, siegeing cities, and battling other armies incredibly punishing. I feel like I've got the early game down. Tournaments, hideouts, raiders, selling loot and prisoners. That's all I do, and it's quite fun. But once I'm given cities I have to defend, idk, all my upward momentum immediately halts. I try to join other battles and sieges, but then the king keeps giving me more and more castles and cities I can't defend. I can't build up a big enough army to hold my own. I just end up hiding around my city while I slowly lose money or get

i know the game tells u when u first start that achievements wont count if u have cheat mode enabled i've been playing for abt 40 hours now and i really wanted to get the mastercrafted southern scale over chain hauberk body armor and apparently its really rare so i just went ahead and cheat coded it in and turned it off after. does this mean that from this point on, my achievements are *permanently* disabled? i kinda just wanted to play with this armor piece and then go back to my regular campaign playthrough but im kinda bummed out now that my steam achievements wont count anymore... submitted by /u/h0m1e_ [link] [comments]

I was wondering if I had a good chance at forming a successful kingdom at this stage? I’ve played a long time and have done many play throughs, but I’ve never formed my own kingdom. I was wondering if I would be ready to do so at this stage? I have 3 family members who can lead parties, and my party can hold 330 units. Idk if the mod changes ai behavior. Im getting my shit kicked in for 1500 days against 2x 32k+ strength kingdoms. Which is triple what i have. And thats currently getting rolled over by yet another 3k army. My kingdom is worn down. Every last lord with a group left is in my army of 1900. Is there anyway to have peace and keep it for any amount of time? I can make peace with the enemy that im not really fighting or near. But it immmediately declares war. Afaik it's diplomacy feature, but I might be wrong. The question I have is, will this affect other lords, castles, towns? Did the most recent update mess with clans after taking a factions last fief? I just took the last battanian fief and it immediately said they’ve been destroyed, then all the now independent clans declared war on me. I wasn’t able to recruit them, even after paying for peace. Before I start talking about the modpack, I want to give credit to u/merculS36 for making most of it. I just chose some of the mods from his list and added some more that aren't on it. I´ve been playing with this modpack on version 1.2.9 of Bannerlord. Haven't tried it on newer or older versions. I used Nexus Mods to accuire all the mods and used Vortex to compile everything. This modpack may be heavy for some, be careful. I advise you to place all the mods in the order I'm going to show on the list and use the versions shown. The objective of this modpack is to just make Bannerlord better, the way it should be. No crazy stuff happening here. So im currently trying to increase my clan tier to join the vlandians as a merc. I look at their war tab see that they are at war with the battanians, so i raid one of the battanians captured villages. Suddenly, every lord in vlandia is at -24 relation with me. I'm doing a Khuzait horse archer run because I wanted to see just how busted they are, and my god. I will admit, I /did/ use cheats to speed up getting this high tier army, but I didn't cheese any fights with the "wound all enemies" and used the "heal player hero" a handful of times. I didn't do much of the fighting myself as the last 5 hours was an INTENSE micro battle against the AI. After a successful year of mercenary work and a strangely long period of peace, my clan initiated a war against the Aserai via raiding the small village of Hoqqa. Our clans leader, Korot, lead an army of just over 400 horse archers. Immediately after the raid, Korot leads his clan to Husn Fulq, where a garrison of 500 awaits him. Halfway through the siege camp preparations, the royal armies of the Aserai are here to respond. It appeared the other side was also preparing for war against us, as 1600 troops were ready to respond within a moments notice. Korot was no clever

So I came back to play Bannerlord on my Steam Deck and I'm running into a weird issue where the game, both the campaign map and battles, run well. However if I move my character in a scene, like a battle or a town, my FPS drops from 50-60 down to 20 and stays there while I move, returning to normal when I stop moving. Other troops moving or fighting doesn't create any fps issues. Likewise. simply attacking with my character, both ranged and melee. doesn't drop FPS. ONLY if I press the WSAD buttons (or while moving on horse). Any idea what might be causing the issue? It happens both modded and vanilla. Verified the game files aswell. I haven't reinstalled the game because it takes me a whole day to download it so I'm hoping for a solution outside of that. I’m playing a very long campaign, I’m 3 generations into my clans story. Way back in the day, I completed dragon banner as vlandia but stopped and let the other factions take territory to keep the world active as I tried other play styles for a while. Now I’m getting sick of the imperials who all joined Battania and I’m trying to execute them all but they keep having kids and I don’t feel like waiting 18 years in game for them all to grow up so I can kill them. What I want to do is total world conquest finally, to get rid of all their clans but I don’t want this play through to die when I do, so here is what I came up with. I am wondering if it is possible to start a new kingdom, abdicate leadership to a promoted companion clan, and then leave the kingdom and take no fiefs. If this can create a new kingdom that will persist and expand like the starting ones, my plan would be to kick all original clans out of the kingdom I took the world with except for one with only a couple of mem

2 sieges, about a dozen crashes, and so so much lost time and exp in between. I've had to auto resolve both of these stupid sieges and miss out on multiple levels for multiple different skills and lost the story of at least 1 damn fine defense. Playing on Xbox Series X, and my game keeps crashing, like 8 times in 30 mins, typically in a tournament but out transiting the map a couple times too. Also notice Auto save isn't really working either, like it says it's saving but all 3 automates which say they're at different times are all the same auto save from the first auto save. Has anyone else had this issue? Is my game just bugged to hell and I'll have to abandon and restart? Games literally unplayable at this point.
