I just came back to the game after a year hiatus, and I'm thrilled they finally actually added mechanics rather than just doing endless bug and balance patches that somehow break every mod with every patch. I discovered the sneaking tutorial, and then found out that basically every stealth kill or every other stealth kill gives a level of roguery. (5 focus points) now I'm wondering what's the point of alleys anymore. They were never particularly good, but at least there was an argument to be made that they increased roguery. But now that I can just go farm hideout stealth missions, earn way more money, keep my companions in my party, and not gain crime in the process, I'm wondering what purpose alleys serve anymore? Okay, so, i've been playing Mount and Blade Warband and i pledged Vasalige to Arwa the Pearled One to help her take back the throne of the Sarranid Sultanate. After many bloody battles i had taken all the fiefs of the Sultanate and had even taken a few castles off the Rhodoks in a scuffel with them. Of course, over time all the Emirs of the Sultanate left to join us or other factions but my quest is still not complete because Sultan Hakim (the leader of the Sultanate) is still out there. But i cant for the life of me find him. I've been searching for him for 181 days and gave up in tge end to fight the Rhodoks. But i still would like to finish of the quest once and for all. So where might he be? How come none of my lords have found him yet? And what do i even do when i find him?
