i can't sue for peace while actively dying

im in 2 front war, all my vassals are captured, i have one castle left after vlandia cane with the 2000 men army and took my city , and i cant make peace even i i want to pay tribute. How is the game in its current state?

I played this game a bit when it first came out in early access, and the game was barley functional. Half of the perks didn't work, it took forever to get influence, and half of the armor had names like "battanian_light_armor_1".

How does the game now compare to when it first released, and would you recommend playing in its current state.
