Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. What’s the easiest way to improve relationships with lords

I’ve spent around 300 trying to improve relationships with loads so at around day 1k I could make a new kingdom, but I haven’t been able to get any quests from them. Does war make lords want to give you quests or something?
