Hey, so I've started an interesting tactic for my kingdom, I'm going to call it the castle tactic, and was wondering if anyone else has tried it and how it worked out for you.
I came the the realization of this tactic when I was a vessel of Sturgia and managed to take Car Banseth and the four castles immidiately around it. I ended up leaving Sturgia with my fiefs after a brief war with vlandia where we took a few of their castles and had noticed all the villagers would deliver to my settlement cause it was the closest.
Now my tactic is taking as many castles as my kingdom can handle and not taking any more cities. This has let all my villages deliver goods to my city and its prosperity has shot through the roof. Yes I have some rebellion risk on the further castles but with a little culture specific lord recruitment I think k that will go away soon.
Currently I have 5 Vandana castles, 4 sturgian, and 4 Battanian. Some of them with recruited lords but most with clans I made from companions.
My question is how people have faired this way mid to late game and how sustainable will this tactic be moving forward? Either way I'm going to try and challenge myself to take over all the castles in the game before anything else.
